Trooper Lyle Lubbers #578 has retired from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol after 30 years of service.

"Trooper Lubbers began his career with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol in 1995 after graduating from the 48th OHP Academy. He was initially assigned to Troop H in Dewey  County. In 1997, he transferred to Washita county where he served for another 8 years for Troop H.  In 2006, he transferred to Troop S assigned to Washita, Beckham, Custer Counties, later Southwest Region. Eight years later, in 2014, Trooper Lubbers moved to Troop A, joining the Central and Southwest Region of Troop S until his retirement."

UPDATE: K9 SOKA IS HOME SAFE! 🐾

Our sneaky little guy is back in custody! After getting loose from his handler yesterday morning in Irons, K9 Soka was found about 4.5 miles away. He appears healthy—aside from a few porcupine needles—and will be taken to a veterinarian for evaluation.

We couldn’t have found him without the incredible support from our communities in Kent and Lake Counties, and everywhere in between and surrounding. Thank you to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, Manistee County Sheriff’s Office, and other area partners who helped in the search, and to everyone who shared our post or kept an eye out for him.

Because of all of you, Soka is safe and headed home. 🐾
