Oregon: An armed suspect was shot and killed Wednesday afternoon during an officer-involved shooting in Eagle Point, authorities said.

According to the Eagle Point Police Department (EPPD), officers responded around 12:13 p.m. to a report of a domestic disturbance. The suspect was later contacted near the Covered Bridge, where the encounter turned violent.

“The armed suspect is deceased,” the department said in a statement. “An EPPD officer was injured during the incident and was transported to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries.”

Officials said there are no additional suspects and no ongoing threat to the public. Law enforcement remained on scene Wednesday at East Main Street and South Shasta Avenue as the investigation continued.

When the ICE arrests first started happening in Los Angeles, city and county leaders said the protests occurred in "such a small area that the national guard wasn't needed." But today, the LA County Board of Supervisors have passed an emergency declaration for all of LA county, paving the way for taxpayer resources to go to illegal alien residents, including rent relief and legal aid. Word is the supervisors are considering adding a moratorium on rent for those aggrieved.  

The current board, seen below, voted 4-1 on the measure, with the one vote against coming from Kathryn Barger, who warned that the county’s action could provoke legal consequences.

NEW: A Bradley County TN Sheriff’s deputy accidentally shot himself Wednesday while assisting the 10th Judicial Drug Task Force with a search warrant when an aggressive dog bit his leg.

According to the sheriff’s office, as the deputy entered the residence in eastern Bradley County, a large pit bull aggressively attacked and bit him on the leg. While trying to defend himself from the animal, the deputy accidentally shot himself in the lower extremity.

He was taken to a local hospital for medical evaluation and treatment.

NEW: Early this morning, a TCSO, WA deputy was responding to a rollover collision in Yelm with their lights and sirens activated. On their way to the collision, the deputy was involved in a single car rollover collision.

The deputy was transported to the hospital with minor injuries, and Yelm PD assisted TCSO by handling the collision out in Yelm.

Arkansas: The Garland County Sheriff's Office is searching for a woman who shot at a sheriff's deputy who was attempting to arrest her.

Officials with the sheriff's office stated that 34-year-old Brandy Taylor is wanted on aggravated assault, possession of firearms, and fleeing.

A release stated that on Tuesday, the deputy conducted a traffic stop in the 5200 block of East Grand Avenue, when Taylor fled the vehicle on foot.

Officials said that the deputy chased and, while attempting to arrest her, she resisted.

During the arrest, the deputy noticed that Taylor was armed, and she fired one shot before the deputy disarmed her. The Deputy was not injured, according to officials.

The sheriff's office stated that its Criminal Investigations Division has assumed the case and considers Taylor to be armed and dangerous.

She is described by officials as currently having red hair, standing 5'08", and weighing nearly 145 pounds.

Deputy Dalton Swanger suffers tracheal stenosis after a June assault, seeking urgent surgery. His condition challenges recovery, requiring specialized care.

Swanger's girlfriend, Stephania Pumphrey, said Swanger's complications stem from being on a ventilator while he was in a coma. He suffers from a condition called tracheal stenosis, which has caused his trachea to narrow. Pumphrey said it could have been caused by him being forcefully intubated while he was having a seizure or by the breathing tube.

Sinai Temple celebrates hostages returning home.

Sinai Temple in Westwood celebrated the release of the hostages held by Hamas by taking down a banner with the faces of those being held. The temple vowed to keep the banner up until the hostages returned home.
