BREAKING: Shooting reported on campus of Alcorn State University, Mississippi, with campus police saying to shelter in place.

Allegedly a woman was shot and 3 males.

More details will be provided as they become available.

UPDATE: According to local sources, several shots rang out at about 6:30 p.m. in the area.

“There was so many shots, I lost count,” said the witness who has requested their name be withheld. The eyewitness reports that at least two people have been shot and one of them is believed to have received serious life-threatening wounds in the incident. An other victim was seen on a stretcher receiving care from paramedics.

The shooting took place near the Jack’s Grocery Store on the campus.

This shooting follows three separate shooting incidents last night at high school homecoming events in the state.

Claiborne County Sheriff Goods has confirmed a young woman died in the shooting. There is no update on the condition of the other two victims.

The city officials that are leaving ICE agents and federal law enforcement officials vulnerable and encouraging these criminal acts need to have federal charges brought against them.

A Virginia State Police trooper was airlifted to the hospital Saturday afternoon after being injured in a crash while assisting with a disabled vehicle.

The crash occurred shortly after 2 p.m. along the 35000 block of U.S. Highway 29. Two troopers were reportedly stopped on the shoulder assisting a disabled vehicle when one of their patrol cars was struck from behind.

One of the troopers reportedly suffered serious injuries and was airlifted from the scene to a hospital for treatment.

The incident remains under investigation.

Oregon: An on-duty Portland Police Officer was transported to the hospital by ambulance for a precautionary evaluation following a collision between his police vehicle another vehicle.

On Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 3:37 p.m., a Portland Police Officer notified dispatch that he had been in a collision at North Schmeer Road and North Denver Avenue. Due to the deployment of his vehicle's airbags, the officer was transported to the hospital by ambulance, evaluated, and released. The other involved driver was not injured and declined transportation.
