Gangs, cartel members, and known terrorist organizations have placed bounties on the heads of several of our law enforcement officers.

This is the rule of law vs. anarchy.

We will win.

The start of the workweek will be closer to average in Northern California. Meteorologist Tamara Berg said Monday's forecast high for downtown Sacramento is 84 degrees, up from the 81 degrees recorded Sunday. The average for this time of year is 83 degrees. Residents in the Foothills could see highs in the upper 70s, while the Sierra may peak in the lower 60s.

Warning graphic!

Los Angeles Police Department’s Force Investigation Division is investigating an Officer-Involved Shooting that occurred in Hollenbeck Division.

On August 22, 2025, at around 8:20 p.m., Hollenbeck Division uniformed officers responded to a radio call of β€œADW suspect there now,” at the 5400 block of Monterey Road. The comments of the call indicated that the suspect, later identified as 22-year-old Bryan Guzman, threatened the person reporting (PR) with a knife. When the officers arrived, the officers contacted the PR who directed them to the suspect Guzman, who was outside standing by a vehicle. The officers gave Guzman verbal commands to put his hands on top of his head. As the officers attempted to take Guzman into custody, he produced a knife resulting in an Officer Involved Shooting.

Guzman was struck by the gunfire and fell to the ground, where he was taken into custody without further incident. Officers rendered aid until the arrival of Los Angeles Fire Department personnel. Guzman was transported to a local hospital and is in stable condition.

A 12-inch kitchen knife was recovered at scene and booked as evidence.

No officers or other community members were injured as a result of this incident.

β€œJ.B. Pritzker is putting politics ahead of public safety."

When the brave men and women of law enforcement were under direct attack from anarchists in Chicago, Gov. Pritzker REFUSED to provide any backup.

The violence and dehumanization of the men and women who are simply enforcing the law must stop.

BREAKING: Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson just announced he signed an executive order creating "ICE Free Zones" to ban ICE agents from city property.

This is SICK. He is aiding and abetting criminal illegal immigrant killers, rapists, traffickers, and gang bangers.

Nebraska: We’re damn proud of our members who were first on scene after a shooting in the busy Old Market that left one person injured near 13th and Howard this weekend, less than a block from our headquarters.

They immediately helped the victim, then launched a manhunt that ended quickly with the suspect’s arrest near Gene Leahy Mall at 13th and Farnam.

The suspect, Khyre Holbert (31), is no stranger to the law. In 2018, he was sentenced to 20 years in federal prison for gun and narcotics offenses. His sentence was commuted on January 17th, 2025, and he was released back into the Omaha community after serving less than half his time.

Why? Releasing dangerous criminals before proven rehabilitative efforts, puts our communities, our families, our kids, and our police officers at risk. We’re grateful our members got there fast, before Holbert could get away or hurt anyone else.

On Saturday, I had the pleasure of attending the Altadena Mountain Search and Rescue Pancake Breakfast. It was great to spend time with residents, volunteers, and deputies while listening to their experiences and sharing the community spirit that makes Altadena a special place.

I want to extend my sincere appreciation to Altadena Rotary for sponsoring this event and to Grocery Outlet for generously allowing the use of their lot space. Your support. Partnership, and community make events like this possible and strengthen the bond between our department and the community we proudly serve.

This is a gross miscarriage of justice.

The misuse of the Lewis list to retaliate against a government witness is as dangerous as it is unlawful.

Novick deserves reinstatement, restoration of his career, and full exoneration.
