North Carolina: Wilkes Fraternal Order of Police is partnering with the Wilkes County Sheriff’s Office in holding a BBQ Pork Fundraiser for Officer Erik Bueno.

Officer Bueno was badly injured in a motor vehicle accident when his patrol vehicle was struck head on by another vehicle.

We are accepting pre-orders at this time using the following link:

Plates will be sold for $10 each and will consist of BBQ Pork, baked beans, slaw, roll and dessert.

When:  October 24, 2025 starting at 10 am.

Pre-orders must be picked up by 1:00 pm or they will be resold.

We will make local deliveries for orders of 10 plates or more.

A donation box will be set up at the Wilkes County Sheriff’s Office.

Alabama: A high-speed pursuit involving several agencies ended in Attalla on Saturday, Oct. 4, after reaching speeds over 100 miles per hour.

The Rainbow City Police Department reported that the chase started at about 4:10 p.m. on Highway 411 from St. Clair County and ended on Cleveland Avenue near the I-59 interchange.

The vehicle involved was reported stolen from St. Clair County.

27-year-old Zackery Wayne Malone, of Florence, was apprehended by St. Clair County authorities, and a hold has been placed on him for further investigation by the Rainbow City Police Department.

During the pursuit, a Rainbow City officer sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital.

BREAKING OVERNIGHT: 14 shot, 2 dead in downtown Montgomery, Alabama shooting according to police. 3 are in life threatening condition.

The incident happened in a busy area of the tourist district on a weekend when the city was hosting a prominent football game.

The chief says two arguing parties opened fire with no regard for the safety of others.

Mayor Steven Reed says the shooting happened with “police units within 50 feet on both sides.”

Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 25-year-old man that occurred a block from an elementary school in the Westmont neighborhood of South Los Angeles.

BREAKING OVERNIGHT: Six people shot, one fatally, at West 7th area bar​.

Texas: On Sunday, 10/05/2025, at approximately 1:40am, Fort Worth officers were dispatched to the 3000 block of Bledsoe Street (Social LIV) in reference to a shooting call. 

Upon arrival officers located a deceased victim inside of the business with apparent gunshot wounds to his upper torso. Medical personnel pronounced the deceased victim on the scene.
