In Section 2, Title 23 of the Bill, it defines the penalties for breaking this new California law

Last night, LAPD were in pursuit of a stolen Infiniti SUV. After deploying spike strips & performing a pit maneuver, the suspect barricaded in the vehicle. Officers eventually broke the windows out on the car & deployed tear gas. The suspect was taken into custody without further incident.

From eastern NC/VA, this medical transport unit out of Elizabeth City, NC, was struck by a wrong-way vehicle on Interstate 464 in Chesapeake early Sunday morning. One person in the ambulance was killed, along with the driver of the colliding the car.

The driver of the ambulance, Skye A. Oraczewski, 22, and their passenger, Stephen M. Anderson, 53, were taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with life-threatening injuries. Anderson later died of his injuries. The driver of the colliding car, a 39 year-old female, died at the scene.

From news reports and details from the Virginia State Police, the collision occurred around 2:30 a.m. near Exit 2 at Military Highway. The 2024 Ford Econoline ambulance, operated by Midwest Medical Transport [though lettered as North State Medical Transport(1)], was traveling south on the freeway.

It was struck head-on by a 2022 Lexus sedan that was travelling the wrong way in the southbound lanes. The collision caused both vehicles to catch fire.
