The total cost for the Weingart Tower, a permanent supportive housing project in Los Angeles, was an estimated $165 million, which breaks down to roughly $595,000 per residential unit. Evansville police Officer Samuel Taylor was seriously injured in a shootout while pursuing suspects of a car theft, and Jailani Chew (pictured) was charged with attempted murder and other offenses in connection to the case. A 15-year-old also is in custody.
