Louisiana: The Shreveport Police Department is actively investigating a shooting that occurred just after 2:00 a.m. in the 1600 block of Poland Avenue. Officers responded to reports of gunfire at a large gathering of more than 150 people. Upon arrival, they encountered a chaotic scene and discovered eight victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
Tragically, two individuals were pronounced dead at the scene. Six others sustained injuries but are expected to survive. Preliminary information suggests this was a targeted attack. While the intended target was struck, their injuries were not life-threatening.
Investigators believe there were multiple shooters involved. Given the number of people present, police are confident that witnesses can provide critical information. Anyone with knowledge of the shooting is strongly urged to come forward.

Deputy Injured During Late-Night Traffic Stop in French Village
Missouri: Around 10:50 PM on Thursday, September 18, 2025, a St. Francois County Sheriff's Deputy initiated a traffic stop on Hwy Y. The vehicle was missing its rear bumper and lacked a rear license plate.
The driver, later identified as Kyle Reibe of French Village, repeatedly reached into the back seat. For safety reasons, the deputy ordered Reibe out of the vehicle. When he refused, the deputy attempted to remove him.
Reibe then tried to climb into the rear seat, and remained uncooperative. Reibe eventually exited the vehicle, engaging in a physical struggle with the deputy.
A second deputy arrived and witnessed the altercation. During the struggle, both the deputy and Reibe fell to the ground, with Reibe continuing to resist. After a prolonged effort, both deputies were able to restrain and handcuff him.
EMS responded to assess both individuals. Reibe was transported to and booked into the the St. Francois County Detention Center on the following:
-Assault in the 2nd Degree on a Law Enforcement Officer
-Resisting Arrest
-Multiple Traffic Violations
