An armed man claiming to be affiliated with law enforcement was detained Friday after entering the Arizona stadium where conservative activist Charlie Kirk’s memorial service is set to take place Sunday, according to the Secret Service.

"Watch out!" Drivers unsuccessfully tried to save their cars from a mudslide in Oak Glen on Thursday. According to the authorities, there were no reports of injuries or missing people as of Friday. The fire department said it would be evaluating structural damage and property loss.

ICYMI: Just before 4, emergency responders got a call about a plane crashed into a house near the Mayfield Airport, Kentucky.

Preliminary reports show the aircraft had actually landed at the airport, but couldn’t get the plane to stop on the runway so it just kept going… through a field… through a fence… cross a highway… and then into a house. A woman was home at the time but was NOT hurt.

Pilot was the only one on the plane, and had no visible injuries. TSB and FAA are investigating.

NEW DETAILS: Man reportedly found with gun and a knife on him inside State Farm Stadium ahead of Charlie Kirk Memorial Sunday.  Source familiar says he presented expired law-enforcement credentials and was not allowed to be inside the stadium. 

Secret Service statement:

The U.S. Secret Service, in coordination with local law enforcement in Glendale, Arizona, is investigating an individual who was observed exhibiting suspicious behavior at State Farm Stadium. The individual was approached by Secret Service and stated during the encounter that he was a member of law enforcement and that he was armed. The individual is not a member of authorized law enforcement working the event and is currently in custody. The U.S. Secret Service and local law enforcement are investigating the circumstances as to why he was at the location.
