BREAKING: The 22-year-old suspect in Charlie Kirk’s killing appears to have confessed to friends in an online chat shortly before turning himself in to law enforcement, according to two people familiar with the chat and screenshots obtained by The Washington Post.

“Hey guys, I have bad news for you all,” said a message from an account belonging to the suspect, Tyler Robinson, on the online platform Discord. “It was me at UVU yesterday. im sorry for all of this.”

The message was sent Thursday night, about two hours before officials said Robinson was taken into custody.

I'm by no means an influential figure, but I regret not doing more to defend Charlie Kirk from defamation by far-righters while he was still alive (other than occasionally praising and reposting him), especially after watching videos of him with his family. He seemed like a genuinely good man with a radiant personality.

As a penniless 18-year-old student, he founded the de facto MAGA youth movement from his parents' garage. By the age of 31, he had become America's most influential right-wing activist, explaining issues like the Great Replacement to his millions-strong audience of normies, in the most palatable ways possible.

Charlie Kirk was worth more than every whining, impotent, ankle-biting, blackpill merchant combined.
