NEW: A fake police officer broke into a manβs residence and handcuffed him during an apparent home invasion in Philadelphiaβs Tacony neighborhood.
The incident occurred along the 6700 block of Marsden Street around 8:30 a.m. on Friday. A man inside the home told NBC10 a person who claimed to be a police officer broke into his house and handcuffed him before taping his mouth shut. The victim said the suspect then took off running.
The man was not physically injured during the incident but was visibly shaken by the ordeal.

A word of thanks to everyone who reached out with tips and info in the manhunt for Charlie Kirkβs assassination. As FBI Director Kash Patel said this morning, law enforcement received over 11,000 tips from the public which truly made a difference.
Our dedicated tip line set recordsβ¦ itβs the largest digital media tip line FBI has ever deployed since the Boston Marathon bombing. As of last night, we had well over 5,000 tips submitted through digital media alone, including almost 10 million site visitors within just a few hours of the page going live. Those leads are still being pursued.
Thank you to all who helped and continue to reach out.

On Spectrum News 1, anchor Kelvin Washington interviewed Detective Nicholas Gallardo, Jennifer Stott, and their therapy dog Willowbrook of the L.A. County Sheriffβs Department. Once a parvo-survivor puppy, Willowbrook now comforts first responders during crises like the Palisades and Eaton fires, lifts spirits at Compton Station, and appears at community events like the Rose Parade, suicide awareness walks, and the Dodgers World Series Parade.
Willowbrook is currently a finalist in the nationwide First Responder Paws Therapy Dog Award, which includes a $4,000 grant that would help expand the LASDβs volunteer therapy dog program.
You can vote for Willowbrook by visiting the official voting page here:

We sadly say goodbye to Deputy Andy Lahera, a devoted member of the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, Florida family who dedicated 14 years of service to their community.
As a School Resource Officer and patrol deputy, Andy's compassion, bravery, and commitment touched countless lives. Tragically, Andy's life was cut short due to injuries he received in a traffic accident on May 23, 2023, while directing traffic at a Lecanto High School graduation.

BREAKING: A federal appears court will allow the Trump administration to move forward with revoking the legal status of more than half a million Cuban, Haitian, Venezuelan, & Nicaraguan migrants who flew into the U.S. via President Bidenβs CHNV migrant flights mass parole program, reversing a Boston federal judgeβs stay blocking the Trump admin from attempting to deport them.
A group of migrants and other special interests had sued the Trump admin for trying to revoke the CHNV parole status, arguing the move was illegal and offered no due process.
But the 1st Circuit Court of Appeals sides with the Trump administration, arguing that DHS Secretary Kristi Noem has the authority to terminate the CHNV Parole under the Immigration & Nationality Act (INA).
The 1st Circuit Court of Appeals writes in part:
βIn sum, we hold that the Plaintiffs have not made a strong showing that they are likely to succeed in showing that the Secretary's decision to terminate the CHNV parole programs exceeded her discretion as authorized by the INA.β
