Recently, leadership from Indian Affairs visited Alaska and California to meet with tribal leaders and discuss ways to streamline processes and reduce red tape.
These efforts aren’t just bureaucratic β€” they directly support tribal law enforcement officers by making it easier for them to access funding, training, and resources. When tribal police have what they need, they can focus on protecting their communities, preventing crime, and keeping residents safe.
By working hand-in-hand with tribal leaders, Indian Affairs ensures the federal government meets its trust responsibility, strengthens law enforcement, and empowers officers to serve effectively.

β€œThe broader issue is separation of powers. You know, should the judiciary constantly β€” and it seems like it's almost always judges in particular locations β€” micromanage the executive branch when they try to affect these deportations?”

The Los Angeles Police Department’s Force Investigation Division is investigating an Officer-Involved Shooting that occurred in Devonshire Division.

On July 20, 2025, at approximately 7:45 p.m., Devonshire Patrol Division uniform officers responded to a radio call of an Assault with a Deadly Weapon suspect armed with a firearm in the 20000 block of Prairie Street. As a LAPD air unit arrived over the call location, they observed the suspect on a skateboard, attempting to flee and directed responding officers to the suspect, later identified as 28-year-old Romario Iraheta, now at the 9300 block of Corbin Avenue. Iraheta continued to flee, and a foot pursuit ensued, during which he pointed a firearm at officers, resulting in an Officer-Involved Shooting.

Iraheta was struck by gunfire but continued to run, stopping a short time later, and was taken into custody. The suspect was transported to a local hospital where he received treatment for a gunshot wound. The suspect was hospitalized in stable condition and was absentee booked for ADW on a Police Officer with a Firearm.

No officers or community members were injured during this incident.

A black steel handgun, loaded with a high capacity magazine and live rounds, was recovered at the scene and booked as evidence.

The Trump Administration has designated the cartels as foreign terrorist organizations β€” unlocking a whole-of-government approach to eliminate their trafficking operations in the U.S.

Precursor chemicals used to produce methamphetamine and intended for Sinaloa Cartel labs in Mexico were seized this week by HSI agents. Had these chemicals reached their destination, they could have produced $569 million worth of methamphetamine.

NEW: On September 1, 2025, at approximately 11:21 a.m., a brazen armed robbery unfolded in the front yard of a home in Woodland Hills, leaving two workers shaken and a homeowner rattled. According to police reports, two men were cleaning a car in a driveway when a light gray, newer-model Honda Accord, license plate 7S0J247, was seen casing the area. The vehicle drove by twice before parking down the street.

Three masked suspects emerged from the car, each armed with a firearm, and confronted the workers. The suspects, described as follows, pointed their weapons at the victims and demanded their belongings:
β€’  Suspect 1: Wore a black sweatshirt, pants, shoes, and mask, carrying a handgun.
β€’  Suspect 2: Wore a light gray sweatshirt, black pants, shoes, and a black mask, also carrying a handgun.
β€’  Suspect 3: Wore a black sweatshirt, pants, a white COVID-style mask, and sunglasses; no weapon was observed.

The robbers stole a high-value watch and a pocket knife before fleeing northbound on Don Pio Drive in the Honda Accord. Fearing the suspects might return, the shaken workers ran to the home, banging on the door for safety.

Seattle Police Officers Guild (SPOG) emphatically welcome Judge Robart’s decision to terminate this 14-year long saga. President Mike Solan said, β€œThe weaponized financial grift that is the Department of Justice Consent Decree process is finally over. It’s over for the cops, the citizens, but also for those who profited from this process. Seattle’s taxpayers no longer must bear the financial DOJ Consent Decree burden, now over 220-million-dollars..."

Chicago’s Pritzker is not on the side of his citizens. Communities are suffering under violence. Washington, D.C. proves what’s possible: safe streets, real security, and the freedom to walk without fear. Cities across America deserve that change, and President Trump wants to see that happen.
