THEFT SUSPECT ARRESTED LABOR DAY IN CAMARILLO:

Theft suspect taken into custody following a theft in progress call at the Camarillo Target on Labor Day 2025. Deputies received excellent play by play information on description and location of the suspect.

Suspect was pulled over at a nearby gas station before 4:00pm. According to radio traffic, a deputy responding to Target confirmed a theft took place per an initial investigation. The incident was under active investigation.

A devastating head-on collision on a Ross County highway has left two people dead and Ohio State Trooper Gunner Combs with very serious injuries.

A GoFundMe campaign was launched and has already raised more than $25,000 to aid in his recovery. The young trooper, who recently returned from assisting flood victims in Texas and worked security at the NATO Summit in Dayton, has a 1-year-old son and another child on the way.

Following the crash, Combs was initially taken to a hospital in Chillicothe but is now receiving treatment at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. According to family members, doctors are working to save his leg after a 13-hour surgery to transplant veins. Combs faces a long and potentially costly recovery.
