A 19-time convicted felon is facing three fresh felony charges after Chicago police allegedly caught him lugging stolen packages and carrying burglary tools through the West Loop.

According to prosecutors, officers investigating a report of stolen packages spotted 55-year-old Marshall Harris in the 1400 block of West Taylor, carrying a bag with a sealed shipping box sticking out. He allegedly dropped the bag as the cops got closer. The box, police said, was addressed to a woman who lives just steps away. Harris, they determined, was not “Jessica,” the name of the recipient on the label.

Police detain alleged shooter after child critically injured playing door-knocking game

Houston-Law enforcement officers and parents in Southeast Texas warned that children who play ‘ding-dong-ditch’ may put themselves at risk of being shot, and it happened in Houston.

Houston PD detained a man accused of shooting a 10-year-old child who was playing the door-knocking game in southeast Houston, according to Houston police.

HPD says the 10-year-old child and friends were playing ‘ding-dong ditch’ when they arrived at a home on Mimbrough in east Houston at about 11 p.m. Saturday. HPD says the children knocked on the door and were running away when someone came out and opened fire, hitting one child, who was listed in critical condition at a hospital.

The alleged shooter eventually surrendered after officers used a bullhorn and had to urge him to come out of the home with his hands up, officers said.

An investigation is underway. No word yet on whether any charges will be filed.

Officials are investigating a death that happened at Burning Man in Nevada's Black Rock City on Saturday.

The Pershing County Sheriff's Office responded to a call of a body of an adult white man found at the event.

Burning Man officials said the victim was lying on the ground in "a pool of blood," with the sheriff's office confirming he was an event participant

The Akron Police Department, Ohio, sadly announced the death of retired K-9, Iggy.

Retired K-9 Iggy passed away peacefully at 10½, surrounded by his loving family. Iggy served with the APD from 2016 alongside his partner, Detective Patrick Armstead. After retiring, he lived his best life with Detective Armstead and family, herding his sister, chasing bunnies, fetching tennis balls, and stealing snacks (and hearts).

Prayers for the Madison County deputy who was injured in the line of duty tonight.🙏🏻

Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) agents are investigating a shooting involving the Madison County Sheriff’s Office and juveniles in Gibson County, following an alleged carjacking incident.

According to detectives, a Madison County deputy chased a vehicle linked to a carjacking earlier that day on Beech Bluff Road.

Three teenagers were in the car and fled to Gibson County, agents say. According to the TBI, the situation escalated, leading the deputy to open fire near Highway 79 South and South Main Street.

Two of the teenagers surrendered and were taken into custody, detectives say. The TBI reported that the third teenager was shot in the arm and taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The deputy also sustained a non-life-threatening head injury and was flown to a hospital, according to officers.
