The FBI announced an increase to a reward in the amount of up to $100,000 for information leading to the identification, arrest and conviction of an unknown individual who appeared to point a firearm and possibly fired a pistol at federal law enforcement officers on July 10, 2025 in Camarillo at approximately 2:26pm.  At the time of the alleged assault, the unknown male is believed to have been participating in a protest.   Assaulting, resisting, or impeding federal law enforcement officers performing their duties is a federal crime.  The FBI does not open investigations based on First Amendment protected activity. #FugitiveFriday

BREAKING: Florida Republicans Plan on Adding 4 New Republican Congressional Seats

High-level sources within Florida’s state government tell me the legislature is moving forward with 2026 midterm redistricting.

The current plan will redraw 4 new congressional seats, specifically targeting key population centers around Orlando, Tampa, and surrounding Miami districts.

This strategy, combined with the 4-5 new House seats that Florida will gain in the 2030 census, will make Florida a Republican electoral college juggernaut and further cripple Democrats hopes of taking back the House in 2026.

BREAKING: Well-known Somali activist Omar Jamal was arrested this morning by ICE in Minneapolis.

According to court documents, charges were first leveled against Jamal in 2001 for making multiple false statements related to his immigration status.

In 2006, he was sentenced to one year of probation and “referred to United States Citizenship and Immigration Service for deportation” for those false claims.

Jamal appears to have arrived in Canada in 1989 from Somalia.

NEW: The U.S. Air Force has granted full military funeral honors to Ashli Babbitt, an Air Force veteran who was fatally shot during January 6, 2021 at the Capitol.

This decision reverses the previous denial by the Biden administration. Under Secretary of the Air Force Matthew Lohmeier communicated this change in an August 15 letter to Babbitt's family, stating that after reviewing the circumstances of her death and considering new information, he was persuaded that the previous determination was incorrect.

UPDATE: UGA Police say evidence suggests the report of an "armed shooter" is a hoax.

Oregon: On August 29th, at approximately 2:20 am, an officer with the Springfield Police Department attempted to stop a reckless driver near the intersection of Beltline Road and Gateway Street. The driver of the vehicle attempted to elude the officer and fled the traffic stop in the vehicle. A records check revealed the vehicle had been reported stolen from the Salem area. SPD pursued the vehicle westbound on Beltline Road, into Eugene. At one point, west of Coburg Road, the suspect made a U-turn and began driving eastbound into the westbound lanes of Beltline Road and collided with the SPD officer. The suspect maneuvered around the patrol car and continued east, the wrong way on Beltline Road.

The SPD officer drove west on Beltline, turned around at the next exit, and returned east in search of the suspect vehicle. The officer located the suspect vehicle at Coburg Rd, near Beltline Road, and re-initiated the pursuit. The suspect fled east on Beltline Road (in the eastbound lanes) and continued into Springfield. Another SPD officer joined in the pursuit as they passed Gateway Street. That officer used a Pursuit Intervention Technique to forcibly stop the fleeing vehicle on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., directly in front of Riverbend Hospital. The Eugene Police Department responded to assist with the pursuit/arrest.

Officers attempted to take the suspect into custody at the vehicle. As the officers were removing the suspect from the vehicle a fire erupted and multiple gas containers stored inside the vehicle caught fire. Officers were able to detain the suspect and move him away from the burning vehicle. The Eugene- Springfield Fire Department was called to the scene due to the vehicle fire. An SPD officer suffered burns as a result of the fire. The suspect also suffered burns and was promptly brought to the nearby Riverbend Hospital Emergency room by an SPD officer so he could be treated for his injuries.
