DEVELOPING: Two Boone County deputies have reportedly been shot in Walton, Kentucky.

About 100 police cars from all different counties just flew by with lights and sirens towards Walton.

This morning, a motorist pulled into CAL FIRE TCU’s Copperopolis Station after hearing faint cries from her vehicle. What she thought might be a mechanical problem turned out to be something entirely different as they heard tiny meows coming from her engine.
 
Firefighters immediately went to work, carefully searching the engine compartment until they found three kittens tucked into hidden spaces beneath the hood. One by one, the crew freed the frightened but unharmed animals, handing them safely to the driver.
 
Now safe and sound, the kittens have a forever home with the driver. In the sweetest tribute, she plans to name each kitten after the firefighters who saved them—an honor these heroes never expected but will never forget.
 
Not every emergency involves flames, but every call for help matters. 🐾❤️

Two deputies were shot while serving an arrest warrant in Walton Thursday night, the Boone County Sheriff’s Office said.

The deputies were taken to UC Medical Center where officials said they are in stable condition.

Want to update those who know and those who don't, my son Kyle Florer is one of the deputy's who was shot in Walton last night. Kyle was shot three times, two of which were superficial wounds to the left side and one that went in a downward motion into his side lodging in his groin area, missing his heart by maybe an inch striking a vein.  They took him to surgery and decided that the best option was to not operate, leave the bullet and closely monitor him for internal bleeding..this is the safest route at this time.  Kyle is awake and still in shock right now.  We cannot thank everyone who helped save my son, the outpouring of love and support from past coworkers, andthe Boone County Sheriff's officers was overwhelming, nothing short of amazing.  Kyle's wife is probably one of the strongest women I ever met and I love her so...never a call I would ever want anyone else to get.. when I say God is always there, my son is living proof... Prayers to the other officer and his family....we are all so thankful... I will update when I can so please keep him and his wife and kids, as well as all of us in your prayers.
