The Los Angeles Police Department’s Force Investigation Division is investigating an Officer-Involved Shooting that occurred in Hollenbeck Division.

On July 14, 2025, around 8:30 a.m., Hollenbeck Patrol Division uniformed officers responded to a call of a “415 Man with a Gun,” on Spence Street, near 8th Street. The comments of the call described the suspect and stated he was holding a “possible assault rifle.”

Upon arrival, officers observed the suspect, identified as 26-year-old Jeremy Anthony Flores, in the driver’s seat of a white utility van, parked to the rear of 1200 Spence Street, holding an assault rifle. Additional resources were requested as Flores was ordered to exit the vehicle and drop the weapon; however, he refused to follow commands, raised the rifle, and an Officer-Involved Shooting occurred.

Following the OIS, Flores remained non-compliant and refused to exit the vehicle. Metropolitan Division Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) was requested to assist with the incident. After unsuccessful attempts to gain compliance, SWAT officers, along with a Tactical Emergency Medical Support Unit (TEMS) from the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD), approached the vehicle. Flores, who was unresponsive and still holding the rifle. Flores sustained multiple gunshot wounds, and personnel from the TEMS unit immediately assessed him, determining he was deceased. The rifle recovered from Flores’ hands was an MP5-style, automatic BB Airsoft rifle, capable of firing metallic projectiles. The rifle was booked as evidence.

No officers or other community members were injured during this incident.

All federal partners are now at over 1,200 arrests under POTUS initiative to clean up Washington, DC.

Let's break down the Abrego Garcia case for the media, who have no interest in actual journalism:

1. Abrego Garcia was born in El Salvador in 1995, and illegally crossed into the U.S. during the Obama Administration. He lived in America for nearly 8 years as an illegal alien with impunity.

2. He moved to Maryland, and began hanging at Home Depot looking for day laborer work. In 2019, he was picked up by Prince George's County Police, who contacted a "proven and reliable source" that advised that Abrego Garcia is an ACTIVE MEMBER OF MS-13 with the rank of "Chequeo" - essentially a recruit.

Prince George's County Police transferred custody of Abrego Garcia to ICE to initiate deportation. He requested a bond hearing, and the immigration judge determined that his gang membership was enough evidence to deny his request. On appeal, a second judge upheld the ruling.

Abrego Garcia, now with very limited options, applied for asylum and a "witholding of removal" status back to El Salvador. A THIRD immigration judge issued a final order of removal but barred deportation to El Salvador. This ruling does NOT prevent his deportation to a safe third country.

Around 2019/2020 - his wife began to accuse him of domestic abuse, though no charges were filed. She filled out paperwork for a protective order, but ultimately did not show up in court after her family convinced her not to. In 2020, she again applied for a protective order, which was granted.

In 2022, he was stopped at a traffic stop in Tennessee with eight other individuals, who he claimed he was driving to a "construction job". The officer suspected it was a case of human trafficking.

Abrego Garcia broke our laws, period. Our immigration system gave him due process REPEATEDLY. He does not belong here, and Maryland is not his home.
