BREAKING UPDATE: KCK officer dies hours after car chase suspect ‘deliberately’ crashes into him.

Kansas City, Kansas, officials have confirmed the death of an officer who was “deliberately” hit by a car early Tuesday morning.

Officer Hunter Simoncic, 26, was critically injured shortly before 1 a.m. on August 26. He was pronounced dead at the University of Kansas Medical Center later that morning, the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department confirmed during a press conference.

ROBBERY SUSPECTS BUSTED: $40,000 worth of merchandise was stolen from a store at the San Francisco Premium Outlets in Livermore, California.

SFPD learned the suspects had made their way into San Francisco and quickly located and arrested them.

The stolen merchandise was recovered, and a loaded firearm was seized.

FINAL UPDATE for 8/26: The deputy injured today during the incident on I-95 is Lt. Rob Burgess, a 29-year member of the Harford County Sheriff’s Office and currently assigned to the Community Policing Division. He was transported to University of Maryland Shock Trauma, where he is alert and stable.
