UPDATE: Today around 4:40 pm, multiple people called police to report a man with a gun near Arleta & Branford. Comments stated the man was pointing the gun at passing cars. When officers arrived, they encounter the man and an Officer-Involved Shooting occurred.

The man was struck by gunfire and taken to a local hospital where he is in stable condition. No officers or community members were injured. An item resembling a black semi-automatic pistol is at scene and will be collected as evidence.

Once again Gavin Newsom is the great uniter. A Politico poll shows Democrats, Republicans, and Independents are all overwhelmingly opposed to his corrupt redistricting scheme.

Alabama: The Scottsboro community gathered downtown to welcome home a police officer who was injured in a shooting in July.

Lieutenant Derek Porch was injured when suspect, Daniel McCarn, shot him and fled from police for nearly 20 hours on July 26.

Officials said Lt. Porch, who has been with the department for 29 years, was shot in his left hand.

Lt. Porch spent time recovering at Huntsville Hospital and was moved to a facility out of state that specializes in hand injuries.

Texas: Several correctional officers with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) were injured Thursday morning in a two-vehicle collision involving a TDCJ transport van and a pickup truck in Walker County.

The crash occurred on FM 980, just north of Huntsville, near FM 2628. According to TDCJ officials, six TDCJ staff members were onboard the van at the time of the crash. No inmates were being transported during the incident.

Emergency responders arrived on scene quickly. One correctional officer was airlifted to a hospital for treatment, while four others were transported by ambulance to local medical facilities. Details regarding the nature and severity of their injuries have not been released.

Wyoming: There are multiple new starts in Wyoming over the last 24 hours. This is the Spring Creek Fire outside Ten Sleep, now 1,000 acres and active.

The Red Canyon Fire 14 miles East of Thermopolis has quickly spread to 20,000 acres. The Sleeper Ranch Fire started this afternoon 26 miles South of Cody, and is already over 1,000 acres. Wyoming is very active today.
