NEW: The Reno Police Department has released body camera footage from a deadly rampage at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno from late July.

Police said 26-year-old Dakota Hawver entered the valet area of the GSR on the morning of July 28 just before 7:30 a.m. where he fired more than 80 rounds, killing three people and injuring two others.

As seen on the video released Tuesday afternoon, officers with RPD responded to the hotel-casino within two minutes and engaged Hawver within four minutes when an officer-involved shooting happened.

The Minneapolis Park Police Department says one of its officers was hospitalized following a violent encounter with a sexual assault suspect on Tuesday afternoon.

Park Police Chief Jason Ohotto said in a joint news conference with Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O'Hara that a 911 caller reported someone "inappropriately touching children" at about 1:15 p.m. at Mueller Park, located off West 25th Street and Colfax Avenue South in the Lowry Hill East neighborhood.

The officer tracked the suspect down to a nearby alley where the two began to fight. At one point, a round was discharged from the officer's holstered gun. It's unclear who pulled the trigger.

About two dozen police squads were called to the scene to help, according to the city's 911 dashboard, with the suspect eventually taken into custody by Minneapolis police officers.

O'Hara commended the 911 caller and the officer involved, saying the officer suffered a minor arm injury.

Illinois: A Champaign County Sheriff's Deputy was injured in a crash in Urbana early Thursday morning, according to the Champaign County Sheriff's Department.

The department said the two-vehicle crash happened around 4:15 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of Florida Ave. and Lincoln Ave. in Urbana.

The department said the deputy was taken to a hospital in serious but stable condition. The name of the deputy has not been released.
