Great rescue by these Tampa Police Department Officers.

On August 9, brave officers rushed into a burning home on N. Highlands Ave. in Tampa to save a man trapped inside. With thick, black smoke and flames engulfing the house, they didn't hesitate - they went in and pulled him to safety just feet from the front door. Thanks to their quick thinking and selflessness, a life was saved! Everyone involved received treatment for smoke inhalation, but fortunately, they're all okay.

Kudos to Tampa Fire Rescue for extinguishing the accidental fire and to all first responders on the scene for their dedication and teamwork. Let's give these heroes the appreciation they deserve.

Kern County Battalion Chief Seriously Injured in Dramatic 200-Foot Cliff-Rollover Near Canyon Fire

On the evening of Friday, August 8, 2025, during active fire response operations on the Canyon Fire in the Romero Canyon area near Castaic, Kern County Fire Department’s Battalion Chief James Agee was critically injured when his pickup truck rolled nearly 200 feet down a steep hillside. Miraculously, he managed to crawl free from the heavily damaged vehicle. First responders airlifted him to Henry Mayo Medical Center in Valencia, where his condition is considered serious but stable.

Fire Chief Aaron Duncan praised the rapid response of crews and the support of partner agencies, expressing confidence in Agee’s strength and character as he faces recovery.🙏🏻
