UPDATE: Officers attempted to make contact with an organizer of the "demonstration" when the crowd surrounded the officers and began to hit the cars. Items were thrown and an Unlawful Assembly was declared due to the aggressive nature of a few demonstrators.
Officers have cleared Alameda St between Temple and Aliso and additional resources have been summoned to the area due to the demonstrators refusing to leave.

🚔 Yesterday morning, Lake Travis ISD police officer Stephen Dean was seriously injured when a large rock struck his windshield while driving to work on US 281.
🐕🦺 His K-9, Officer Fox, was not in the vehicle at the time of the accident.
