NEW: (Aug. 8, 2025) The Aurora Police Department announced Friday it has arrested a suspect in connection with a fatal hit and rush crash at East Colfax and I-225.
27-year-old Johandry De Los Santos Ruiz of Venezuela turned himself into police Thursday evening and was booked into the Aurora Detention Center on one count of leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death and additional charges are expected.
The charges stem from just before 10 p.m. Sunday when APD patrol officers responded to a report of a hit-and-run, auto-pedestrian crash on the westbound side of East Colfax Avenue at the northbound onramp for Interstate 225. When officers arrived at the scene, they located a 47-year-old woman who was using a wheelchair to cross the road, was deceased upon arrival. Ruiz did not remain on scene after the crash.
Formal charges will be filed by the 18th Judicial District Attorney’s Office. This case is still active and ongoing.

The architect of the “Operation Trojan Horse”, Chief Greg Bovino, joined me on set today to answer these questions, as well as respond to criticism about targeting day laborers standing at these Home Depots, and allegations that his agents are just simply chasing after “brown people” as has been claimed.
Bovino tells me record checks are revealing 30-40% of the illegal aliens they’re arresting at Home Depots have criminality beyond just being in the U.S. illegally, and they won’t look the other way on illegal aliens who don’t.

Our team learned that a 13-yr-old teen was being forced to work at the Rainbow Foot Relax Massage Parlor located at 10511 Jones Rd. Further, the business reportedly provided illegal sexual services for money. An investigation was launched leading to the teen being rescued and three persons being arrested and charged. The teen is receiving support services.
We extend heartfelt thanks to the concerned resident that provided information, for “seeing something and saying something”.
And for the assist from our law enforcement partners, including FBI Houston, Harris County Licensing Bureau, and the Pct 5 Constables Office.
The owners of the parlor, husband and wife, Shi Shin Chow (11-26-48) and Chenxi Zou (5-22-73) were charged with Promotion of Prostitution to Receive Money. And the manager, Yuqin McGee (5-6-82) was charged with the same.
All three are booked in the Harris County Jail.
