Tennessee: A Memphis police officer was injured in a one-vehicle crash in the Crosstown area Thursday night after experiencing a medical issue.

The accident happened just before 8 p.m. at North Bellevue and North Parkway, where the officer lost control of his police cruiser and crashed into a pole.

The MPD did not disclose the medical issue. The officer was taken to the hospital in non-critical condition.

A Philadelphia police officer was injured after he was dragged by a driver during a traffic stop. That driver, 28-year-old Paul Reid, was later arrested after police say he barricaded himself inside a home. 

The incident began around 1 a.m. Thursday when Philadelphia police say officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop after a 2010 blue Nissan Altima was seen running two stop signs.

The suspect was seen reaching under his seat, and when officers arrived at the window of the car, officers observed packaging for narcotics. 

After failing to provide any documentation and ignoring officers’ instructions to exit the vehicle, police say the driver tried to take off in the vehicle, dragging one of the officers a short distance down the 1900 block of Plymouth Street in West Oak Lane.

A second officer arrived at the scene as the driver was fleeing, and both officers were struck by the vehicle and sustained minor abrasions and contusions.

Authorities in East Cleveland, Ohio, have confirmed a deadly shooting incident that left at least one person dead and multiple others injured, including police officers.

According to initial reports, the shooting occurred earlier today in a residential area, prompting a massive law enforcement response.

Witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots, followed by a heavy police presence in the neighborhood. The identity of the victims, including the police officers, has not yet been released, and their conditions remain unclear.

Officials have stated that police officers were among those injured in the shooting, though no further details have been provided about their condition.
