UPDATE: Department of Homeland Security officials took 16 individuals into custody on Wednesday morning during immigration raids at a Los Angeles Home Depot, territory that federal authorities say is in the grip of the notorious MS-13 gang.

The operation happened around 7 a.m. in the MacArthur Park area of Los Angeles. As DHS officials burst onto the scene from the back of Penske trucks, migrants began scattering from the parking lot, according to video from the scene.

Prayers for the Philadelphia Police officer who was injured in the line of duty overnight.🙏🏻

A Philadelphia police officer is in the hospital after they were hurt while working along I-76 in South Philadelphia.

There were early reports that the officer was initially knocked unconscious after the driver struck his motorcycle.

He is said to be in stable condition, but it's unclear at this hour what type of injuries he is dealing with.

Missouri: An armed carjacking late Tuesday night in north St. Louis led to a high-speed police chase across multiple counties, an officer injured and four teenage suspects taken into custody, police said.

According to SLMPD, the Real-Time Crime Center alerted officers to the carjacked vehicle’s location an hour later. When officers attempted a traffic stop around Union Boulevard & Cote Brilliante Avenue, police say the carjacked vehicle failed to stop, beginning the pursuit.

The carjacked vehicle was pursued by officers toward Bridgeton before the suspects took off on foot after it got a flat tire near I-70 and Lindbergh, SLMPD says. Following a brief search, four juveniles—a 17-year-old boy, a 16 year-old boy, and two 15-year-old boys—were taken into custody.

According to SLMPD, two police cruisers collided with each other during the pursuit. One officer was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment for neck pain but no serious injuries were reported.

Michigan: Trooper Struck While Investigating Traffic Crash

Date: August 6, 2025

Time: 9:45 a.m.

Location: US41 Hwy near Midway Dr., Marquette Twp, Marquette County

Incident Summary:
On August 6 at approximately 9:45 a.m., troopers from the Michigan State Police (MSP) Negaunee Post responded to US41 near Midway Dr. in Marquette Township for a personal injury crash. The preliminary investigation indicated that a vehicle driven by a 56-year-old male was traveling eastbound on US41 when it lost control and was struck by a vehicle driven by a 36-year-old female traveling westbound. The at-fault vehicle then struck a guardrail and came to rest in the turn lane of the roadway.
 
While a trooper was investigating this two-vehicle personal injury traffic crash, another vehicle traveling on the roadway attempted to avoid a secondary collision near the scene. Unfortunately, this maneuver was unsuccessful. The vehicle struck a vehicle that was involved in the secondary crash and then struck the trooper, causing him to maneuver onto the hood of the car to avoid serious injury. The vehicle then collided with a vehicle involved in the initial crash. The driver that struck the trooper was identified as a 57- year-old woman from Laurium.

The trooper sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where they were treated and subsequently released.
