DUI Driver Leaves Trail of Destruction Near Pike Outlets | Long Beach, CA | Friday, August 1, 2025 | More below ⬇️

• Around 11:30 p.m. Friday night, a white pickup truck struck at least five parked cars a few blocks from the Pike Outlets in Downtown Long Beach.

• Dramatic video shows the suspect vehicle swerving dangerously through the streets with sparks flying from a shredded front tire.

• The vehicle left debris scattered across the road as it continued driving for several blocks in a highly reckless manner.

• Witnesses described the driver as erratic and extremely dangerous — many said he could have easily killed someone.

• The truck was followed by a police airship with its spotlight on after numerous callers reported the vehicles whereabouts, when it finally came to a stop near the Pike Outlets, where responding officers made contact with the driver.

• The suspect was arrested for DUI after failing field sobriety tests administered at the scene.

• Thankfully, no injuries were reported despite the serious potential for harm.

• Multiple bystanders witnessed the incident and remained to provide statements to police.

UPDATE: The Montana Division of Criminal Investigation released the following photo of 45-year-old Michael Brown fleeing The Owl Bar on Friday after the shooting. Officials are searching for Brown near Anaconda and urge residents in the area to stay vigilant.

Last night, one of our police officers was struck while sitting inside his patrol vehicle, which was parked on the side of the road conducting traffic enforcement. Thankfully, he sustained only minor injuries and is expected to make a full recovery.

This incident is a serious reminder of the dangers our officers face every day. When you see emergency vehicles on the side of the road, please slow down and move over. Giving them space isn’t just courteous—it saves lives.

Let’s continue to look out for the brave men and women who protect and serve our community.
