Oregon: A suspect was shot and killed by police in Springfield Wednesday after allegedly brandishing two knives at officers and attacking them, according to the Springfield Police Department.
The incident occurred at about 2:37 p.m. when Springfield police officers were called to the area of Gateway Street and Kruse Way for a person acting disorderly inside a business.
When officers got there, the suspect pulled out two knives and threatened to fight the officer, who then called for backup. The suspect then stabbed two Springfield police officers, causing "significant injuries," according to officials.
The officers were taken to a local hospital. Their conditions are currently unknown.
