Like tens of millions of Americans, I went to bed last night and woke up this morning not realizing that there was a tsunami advisory in effect due to a massive earthquake that struck near Russia. Only this morning on the way to work, where I happened to run into a married couple, one a seismologist and the other an advisor to the National Weather Service, did I find out about the tsunami advisory.

How could we be in the dark? Evil Republicans who defunded NPR and, as Democrats predicted, swaths of the American public didn’t hear a single natural disaster warning!

Oh, wait. Pretty much everyone was aware of the tsunami threat. There were even some folks in North Dakota who thought they were at risk. Weird.

Through further investigation, officers recovered two handguns, handgun parts, and packaged bundles of methamphetamine from the suspect's backpack. The suspect, a convicted felon, was arrested on multiple felony charges.

U.S. Attorney’s Office Files Motion to Dismiss Bogus Charges Against Deputy in Politically Motivated Case Pushed by Sheriff Luna

On July 29, 2025, the US Attorneys Office submitted a motion to dismiss all charges against Deputy Trevor Kirk, whose February felony conviction for excessive force was downgraded to a misdemeanor by the court. Despite the felony charges being dropped, the jury’s finding that Kirk used unreasonable force was not overturned.

Kirk was ultimately sentenced to four months in prison and one year probation in June 2025.

The motion to dismiss now signals full withdrawal of charges of a case that should have never seen the light of day in a courtroom but instead was spooned to the Feds by LA Co Sheriff who caved to activist pressure. The federal decision, triggered by Luna’s actions, has led to a sharp increase in LASD personnel retiring, resigning, or leaving law enforcement altogether.

Please, pray for the Harris County Sheriff's deputy who was injured in the line of duty tonight.🙏🏻

Texas: A deputy was injured and suspect critically injured in a shooting in northwest Harris County tonight.

Details are limited, but according to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, the suspect is down in critical condition. The deputy sustained minor injuries that are not believed to be caused by gunfire.

According to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, the deputy was transported to a nearby hospital in fair condition and suspect was transported via LifeFlight in critical condition.

Earlier today, we escorted Sgt. Justin Williams from the hospital to Palm Mortuary in Downtown Las Vegas. We were there for his family and we will continue to be.

We will miss you, Justin, more than words can say.

Sgt. Williams was recently diagnosed with leukemia. He was rushed into emergency surgery this morning and tragically passed away.
