UPDATE: Injured Lorain police Officer Brent Payne was discharged from Cleveland's MetroHealth Medical Center on Saturday.

Payne was shot while responding to an ambush of fellow Lorain Officers Peter Gale and Phillip Wagner on Wednesday afternoon in the Colorado Avenue Industrial Park.

LAPD news: Yesterday, around 2:30 pm, two individuals came to LAPD Foothill Station located at 12760 Osborne Street in Pacoima and reported that they were cleaning at a recently deceased family member's home when they found what they believed were military ordnances.

Officers went to the individuals' car and found a plastic box with several military ordnances inside. The LAPD Bomb Squad responded and used a robot to take images of the items.

Because they were military devices, the LAPD collaborated with the United States Marine Corps' Camp Pendleton EOD unit to determine whether the items were stable enough to be moved to storage.

Once it was determined that it was safe to move the items, the LAPD Bomb Squad packaged them and moved them to a storage facility. The US military will collect the items at a later date.

On July 26th, officers received a water rescue call at a pool. Foxtrot was patrolling in the area & landed. Flight Officer Smith exited the helicopter & immediately began CPR on the 25 y/o male, who was revived.
