As promised, I want to provide an update on our efforts out of FBI to defend the homeland and protect Americans from threats here at home and around the world. We’re right around the 6 month mark, and thanks to the leadership of this administration and the work of our men and women of law enforcement, there is no doubt our country is safer today than it was in January.
 
- Immigration Enforcement: Since January 20, the FBI has assisted our partners at DHS in over 21,900 immigration enforcement-related detentions and arrests. We surged resources at never before seen levels to meet the need after four years of a crisis at the southern border. Our agents and field teams did a tremendous job rising to the challenge.

-Violent Crime Arrests: From January 20th- present, there have been over 12,400 arrests in the violent crime and gang program. We’re crushing gang operations at the source and taking them off the streets.

-Illegal Drug Seizures: Between January 20th to last Friday July 18th, the FBI has seized 1,430 kilograms of fentanyl – an increase over the same timeframe from last year (1,089 kgs). This work is saving lives.
-Additionally, in that same time frame, the FBI has seized over 62,000 kilograms of cocaine, 5,000 kilograms of methamphetamine and 12,600 kilograms of marijuana.

-Because of these successes, and others, we continue to be on pace for one of the lowest murder rates ever recorded in the U.S. That is no accident.

NEW: Here are some of the worst of the worst illegal migrants arrested by ICE yesterday, including convicted child rapists, arsonists, and human smugglers.

Among the most egregious:

1. ICE Buffalo arrested Jacobo Argueta-Fuentes,  an illegal alien from El Salvador. He is convicted of multiple sex crimes against children in New York, including rape, promoting prostitution, use of a child less than 17 years of age in a sexual performance, and sexual abuse

2. ICE Houston arrested Rafael Manriquez-Mancia, an illegal alien from Mexico. He is convicted of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in Texas

3. ICE New Orleans arrested Abraham Eladio Pineda-Rocha, an illegal alien from Mexico. He is convicted of the aggravated felony of alien smuggling in Texas

4. ICE Los Angeles arrested Alfonso Lopez-Cabrera, an illegal alien from Mexico. He has been convicted  for lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14 in California. 

5. ICE Buffalo arrested Wahota Allassane Ouattara, an  illegal alien from West Africa. He was convicted of arson in New York.

BREAKING: San Antonio City Council District 8 Councilwoman Ivalis Meza Gonzalez was arrested on Thursday on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, according to a warrant obtained by KSAT.

According to the warrant, a San Antonio police officer initiated a traffic stop on Gonzalez’s vehicle after she was driving at a slower speed than vehicles and failed to remain in a single lane along Interstate 10 at Hildebrand Road.

During a sobriety test, the warrant said that Gonzalez had “watery, glossy eyes” and had a “moderate odor of intoxicants.”
