CNN’s attempt to spin a personal career decision into some big scandal is RIDICULOUS. It is laughable that a career public employee, who claims to serve the American people, would choose to resign over our refusal to hastily approve a six-figure deployment contract without basic financial oversight. We’re being responsible with taxpayer dollars, that’s our job.

FEMA experienced no delays in deployment of assets, and Texas officials have unequivocally and vocally applauded the federal government and FEMA’s response. If anyone is upset by the end of unchecked, blank-check spending under President Trump’s administration, that says more about them than it does about us.

Our thoughts are with the Louisiana State Police Trooper who was struck and seriously injured by a motorist as he was helping at a prior vehicle crash.🙏🏻

On July 16, 2025, a  Louisiana State Police Trooper was seriously injured in a crash on Louisiana Highway 190 in St. Landry Parish. The Trooper was investigating a prior crash when struck by a vehicle shortly before 6:00 p.m.

The Trooper sustained serious but stable injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

We proudly recognize Trooper Darrelle Jacobs of Troop C as our April 2025 Trooper of the Month.

On April 8, a fatal hit-and-run occurred on I-75 when a vehicle struck a disabled semi-truck and fatally injured the driver’s brother, who had stopped to help. The suspect fled the scene, but Trooper Jacobs immediately responded. Trusting his instincts, he canvassed local areas and located the suspect and vehicle at a gas station, detaining the driver before they could flee the state.

Trooper Jacobs’ swift action and attention to detail ensured justice for the victim and peace of mind for the community. His dedication reflects the core values of the Florida Highway Patrol.
