New Mexico: Isaac Martinez led Doña Ana County deputies on a chase near I-10 in Anthony.

A deputy tried stopping him in a dirt area, but Martinez reversed and got away. The deputy’s unit was badly damaged, and the officer was injured in the crash.

Florida: A Pinecrest Police Department officer was hospitalized after being struck by an off-road vehicle at a gas station Saturday night.

The incident started around 9 p.m. when officers responded to calls of several off-road vehicles in the area. The vehicles fled upon officers' arrival, and one hit an officer, pinning him between the vehicle and the officer's car. The officer, a 5-year veteran, fired his weapon at the vehicle but no one was hit. He was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
