While ICE ERO Dallas officers were detaining Honduran illegal alien Jose Melgar-Rivas, Melgar accelerated his van and dragged an officer nearly a block down the road in an attempt to escape.
This resulted in multiple injuries to the officer's body and ended with Jose Melgar-Rivas in cuffs.
On top of his final removal order, he'll now also face charges for assaulting a federal officer.
