Same-sex marriage is at long last legal in all 50 US states and LGBTQ+ rights have been greatly expanded - but it's still legal to subject children under 18 to conversion therapy in 32 states. Doctors and professors from Harvard University, Boston University and the University of Texas, Austin, are demanding an end to the so-called 'treatments' that they say are traumatic, unethical and raise serious mental health risks, they write in the New England Journal of Medicine. Police caught the would-be robber wearing just his shirt and underwear on Interstate 459. He was taken to a local hospital for evaluation and police say he will face charges when he is released. A manhunt is underway for a man who shot and killed two people on a Houston freeway after they crashed into his car during evening rush hour. The shocking incident occurred on I-10/East Freeway near Federal just before 6 pm on Thursday night, when the road was teeming with traffic. According to witnesses, a silver Nissan sedan spun out of control after it crashed into a second vehicle. The driver of the second vehicle - which has not been identified - got out of his car and began firing a gun at the occupants inside the Nissan. He shot through the windshield, striking both the driver and the passenger in the chest. They died at the scene. The victims have been identified as two males, aged 25 and 33, although their names have not been released. KHOU11 reports that the shooter was using an AR-15 and did not stop firing until a Good Samaritan in a nearby truck began shooting his own weapon at the man. 😱
