This family business in Templeton was tragically burned down by arsonists earlier this month. Unfortunately, the family also lost their insurance a few years ago due to complete and total state mismanagement of the insurance market.

As your next Governor, we’re going to finally stand up to criminals AND fix the state’s broken insurance market.

*NEWS INTERRUPTION*

On Friday afternoon, while spending time with his family at South Padre Island, Texas, off-duty Supervisory Border Patrol Agent Eric Cespedes observed two of his children in distress after being caught in the water’s dangerously strong rip current.

Without hesitation, Eric raced in to rescue them. His selfless bravery ensured their survival, but it cost him his own life.

Nearby bystanders helped pull the children to shore while others carried out the unresponsive agent. Lifesaving measures were performed by those who helped Eric out of the water and by the responding SPI Beach Patrol, but he later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

Supervisory Agent Eric Cespedes was a 17-year veteran of the U.S Border Patrol assigned to the Rio Grande Valley Sector, and leaves behind a loving wife and three children.

Eric was remembered as a protector, both in uniform and at home. His final act was that of a hero and a testament to the unwavering love he carried for his children and family. Eric will always be remembered as a brother in green and his courage will never be forgotten. He was 38-years old.

Rest In Peace, Hero 💚🖤
