NYC, Queens: Belt Parkway near the Nassau Expressway, emergency personnel responded to a devastating vehicle collision on the, within the confines of the @NYPD106Pct. Officers and EMS personnel found multiple victims lying unconscious on the roadway, debris scattered across lanes, and CPR was being performed on the pavement as first responders tried to save lives. According to the @NYPDHighway District’s Collision Investigation Squad, a @BMW 428i, driven by a 24-year-old male from Queens, was traveling eastbound when the driver lost control, struck the median divider, and entered the westbound lanes. The BMW then collided with a @Honda CRV and a @Hyundai Tucson. All three vehicles remained at the scene.

EMS transported all drivers to Brookdale Hospital. The BMW driver was in critical condition. The Honda’s driver, a 44-year-old male, and the Hyundai’s driver, a 34-year-old female, were listed in stable condition.

Four passengers were in the BMW. A 21-year-old female and two males, ages 25 and 29, were taken to Brookdale in stable condition. A 22-year-old female, who lives in the confines of the @NYPD19Pct in Manhattan, was rushed to Jamaica Hospital in critical condition, where she was later pronounced deceased.

The 24-year-old BMW driver, who lives in the confines of the @NYPD113Pct in Queens, was also later pronounced deceased.

The investigation remains ongoing.
