🇺🇸🇸🇻 Migrants deported from US to Salvadoran prison remain under US control, Salvadoran officials tell UN

The government of El Salvador has acknowledged to United Nations investigators that the Trump administration maintains control of the Venezuelan men who were deported from the U.S. to a notorious Salvadoran prison, contradicting public statements by officials in both countries.

The revelation was contained in court filings Monday by lawyers for more than 100 migrants who are seeking to challenge their deportations to El Salvador’s mega-prison known as the Terrorism Confinement Center, or CECOT.

Torrez also highlighted the importance of protecting the “finality and integrity” of a juror’s decision and saying that it is, “essential to maintaining public trust in our criminal justice system.” The simple fact is Torrez was granted his request to subvert true justice and push a political agenda. This was never about exposing the juror, this was about a law abiding officer getting a fair trial. The trust in our justice system is gone thanks to our New Mexico Department of Injustice.

"You know, again, it’s unconscionable at a time in which so many working people and poor people need government to show up for them, that this administration, the Trump administration, has caused so much consternation and division," Johnson said Tuesday during a press conference.

Johnson was responding to a question about whether the city would "set up local police perimeters around schools to shield students from federal agents without warrants."
