🚨 OFFICER INJURED DURING ARREST OF WANTED FUGITIVE 🚨

Last night, a Converse Police Department officer was injured during an altercation with a wanted fugitive.

Officers were attempting to apprehend Ernesto Valle, who had an active warrant for Unlawful Carry of a Weapon, when he resisted and attempted to flee. During the struggle, one of our officers was injured and transported by Converse EMS to University Hospital. Thankfully, the officer’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Ernesto Valle is now in custody and is being charged with:
🔹 Assault Against a Public Servant
🔹 Fail to Identify Fugitive from Justice (Refused to Give Information)
🔹 Resist Arrest, Search, or Transport
🔹 Evading Arrest or Detention
🔹 Unlawful Carry of a Weapon (Warrant)

A memorial for fallen Officer Kendall Corder was displayed Monday outside Milwaukee Police District 2.

Milwaukee is honoring the officer in several ways, including a giant American flag hanging at 9th and State downtown. The Hoan Bridge was also lit blue Sunday night in tribute.💙

Texas: Two Houston police officers were hospitalized after a crash with a suspected drunk driver, after authorities said they found beer cans discarded near the crash site.

It happened just before 12:30 p.m. in northeast Houston, where investigators said two officers in a patrol car were going southbound on North Wayside Drive.

That’s when a truck was leaving a stop sign from Joy Street and pulled out in front of the patrol car, causing both vehicles to collide. The patrol car’s impact caused it to end up on the sidewalk, while the truck stopped in the southbound lanes.

Officials said the two officers were taken to a hospital for minor injuries.

When the two officers arrived, they were “unexpectedly fired upon”. Both officers were struck and neither was able to return fire. Now, the Milwaukee Police Association Fallen Heroes, Inc., is collecting donations to provide emergency assistance.
