A sheriff’s deputy in Tennessee remains hospitalized after being struck in the head during a police call was being monitored live on television. Matt Iseman, one of the hosts of “On Patrol: Live,” joins “Banfield” to discuss how the violent situation unfolded.

A suspected hit-and-run driver has been arrested after allegedly hitting and injuring a sheriff's deputy in Moreno Valley, California.

The incident happened just after 9 p.m. Wednesday near the area of Indian Street and Alessandro Boulevard, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

The deputy was responding to an assault with a deadly weapon call when they were struck by a car that drove away from the scene.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the suspect was later found down the street at an apartment complex. He was arrested for felony hit-and-run.

The injured deputy was rushed to the hospital but is expected to be released some time Thursday.

BREAKING: CBP executed a federal search warrant today at a human smuggling hub in Los Angeles tied to national security threats. Two individuals were arrested during the operation, which was led by CBP’s Special Response Team with support from Border Patrol tactical units and Air and Marine Operations.

Earlier this week, seven Iranian nationals were arrested at the same address—including individuals on the FBI Terror Watchlist and associates of an Iranian human trafficking network. The location has been repeatedly used to harbor illegal entrants linked to terrorism.

Under POTUS, CBP is taking aggressive action to shut down smuggling networks and remove national security threats before they can do harm.

Texas: The victim in a two vehicle fatal crash with an Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office Deputy has been identified as a San Antonio woman.

The fatal crash occurred at 4:22 p.m. at the El Rucio Road and U.S. 281 intersection in the Linn-San Manuel area.

According to Hidalgo County Sheriff Eddie Guerra, the deputy was traveling northbound and was sideswiped by the box truck.

Sheriff Guerra confirmed the driver of the box truck died at the scene. The driver was identified as Casandra Nicole Chavez Martinez, 25, a San Antonio resident.

The deputy involved was transported to Doctors Hospital at Renaissance with minor injuries.
