Police are asking for the public’s help in finding the suspect identified as 57-year-old Vance Boelter.

They released pictures of him, including security footage from this morning of him in a cowboy hat. Meanwhile, there was a virtual security briefing for House members expressing concern about the security of House and Senate Members. Fox is told that what rattled members the most about the shootings is the “manner” in which the crimes were carried out with the gunman going from one home to the next.

Virginia: One of the worst phone calls to receive at 3:40 in the morning as a Sheriff is from your Communications Center informing you that one of your deputies has been injured in a vehicle crash.

Early this morning, while conducting a traffic stop and completing a summons, our deputy was struck from behind by a driver who had fallen asleep at the wheel. He was seated in his cruiser at the time of impact.

Thankfully, the deputy has since been treated and released from the emergency room and is now home recovering.

Please join us in sending prayers and, or positive thoughts for his recovery.🙏🏻

This incident is a stark reminder of the risks our law enforcement officers face every day—even during routine duties. I’m incredibly grateful he’s okay, and I continue to be proud of the dedication and professionalism of our entire team.

Thank you to all who serve.
