The chief of Chinese military in Hong Kong has warned that his troops are determined to safeguard national sovereignty in his first response to the city's ongoing protests, which have entered the eighth week and left the financial hub in turmoil. Chen Daoxiang, the commander of the People's Liberation Army's Hong Kong garrison, added that the unrest should not be tolerated and his 'heroic' troops resolutely support Hong Kong police 'to enforce law strictly and justly'. The Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) also released a propaganda video, which shows heavily armed soldiers carrying out a series of live-fire anti-riot drills featuring tanks, huge cannons, attack helicopters and missiles. An accompanying post said soldiers were 'preparing for war'.

A mother-of-three who filed for divorce set up hidden cameras in her kitchen after she suspected her then-husband of poisoning her - and despite him admitting it, he will only spend 60 days in prison and he will only serve that time on the weekends. Michigan woman Therese Kozlowski said she became suspicious of her then-husband Brian Kozlowski after she started feeling tired, nauseated and bleary-eyed every time he made her morning coffee while they still shared a home in Macomb Township. The woman set the cameras up in her kitchen sometime after filing for divorce in May 2018. By July 2018, she captured her husband of 22 years repeatedly spiking her coffee with antihistamine medication. Under a plea deal, Kozlowski agreed to plead guilty to a felony count of poisoning instead of going to trial where, if convicted, he could have faced up to 15 years in prison. Prosecutors will appeal his sentence.

Tripling down on his scathing indictment of Baltimore, President Trump blasted the Maryland city as being 'worse than Honduras' in term of violent crime and renewed his criticism of district of House Oversight Committee Chairman Elijah E. Cummings on Tuesdayโฆ
Elijah Cummings' own Baltimore apartment was ROBBED just hours before Trump launched his 'race row' by attacking the lawmaker and his 'dangerous, rodent infested' city. The alleged break-in took place hours before President Trump criticized House Rep. Elijah Cummings, the powerful Democratic lawmaker, on Twitter over Baltimore being a 'rodent infested mess'. Trump's use of the word 'infested' to describe Baltimore as well as other districts represented by minority lawmakers prompted many to accuse him of racism. Cummings' home is a row house located in the Druid Heights section of West Baltimore. Druid Heights is considered an area that does have a high concentration of rats based on the number of rodent control requests from residents.๐ #lol
