While Los Angeles burns, our officers bleed β and the silence from many of our nationβs leaders is deafening.
As rioters torch cars, hurl explosives, and attack law enforcement officers, some politicians would prefer to peddle lies to the community they supposedly serve, citing βpeaceful protestsβ rather than condemning the violence against our officers and destruction of proper that is happening right in front of them.
Letβs be clear: This is not a protest. This is a targeted assault on the rule of law.
Law enforcement professionals are being doxxed, ambushed, and seriously injured β simply for doing their jobs. And while they hold the line, some elected officials are vilifying them, refusing to call out the violence, and siding with lawlessness over law enforcement.
The Fraternal Order of Police condemns these cowardly attacks and stands firmly with every officer still out there β protecting communities, upholding the law, and refusing to surrender to the mob.
We will always back the brave.
We will never stay silent while our brothers and sisters are under siege.
If you wear the badge, you are not alone.

Last night, our Sheriffβs Response Team members were heavily engaged by violent rioters who aimed to bring destruction and chaos to the City of Los Angeles. Our partners LAPD and CHP placed an assistance request which brought us deeper into the pandemonium.
Vandalism, arson, and assaults on Law Enforcement with explosive devices are not first amendment protected activity. We encourage you all to peacefully protest and exercise your constitutional rights. But what occurred last night, was not peaceful by any means.
We will continue to hold the line until order is restored in Los Angeles County!

DPS has ZERO TOLERANCE for individuals disrupting public order or endangering law enforcement officers.
These five individuals were arrested by DPS during last nightβs protest at the Texas Capitol. Make no mistake: Texas is a law-and-order state.
