The Virginia State Police sadly announced the death of retired Master Trooper Jay Alderman.

Retired Master Trooper Alderman, who had been separated from the Department on Long-Term Disability (non work-related), passed away following a courageous battle with significant medical issues, including cancer in recent years.

While Los Angeles burns, our officers bleed — and the silence from many of our nation’s leaders is deafening.

Last night, our Sheriff’s Response Team members were heavily engaged by violent rioters who aimed to bring destruction and chaos to the City of Los Angeles. Our partners LAPD and CHP placed an assistance request which brought us deeper into the pandemonium.

Vandalism, arson, and assaults on Law Enforcement with explosive devices are not first amendment protected activity. We encourage you all to peacefully protest and exercise your constitutional rights. But what occurred last night, was not peaceful by any means.

We will continue to hold the line until order is restored in Los Angeles County!
