Texas: The El Paso Police Department concluded an investigation on Passo Via Street after an officer-involved shooting that left a suspect dead and an officer injured.

The incident began shortly after 3:00 p.m. on Sunday when police responded to a call about a family fight and assault in progress.

Salvador Valdiviezo, 35, allegedly shot at two officers with a handgun, hitting one officer who was transported to University Medical Center and is now in stable condition.

Officers returned fire, striking Valdiviezo multiple times.

He was given CPR at the scene, taken to the hospital, and later died.

A Prince George's County Police officer was taken to the hospital after a crash in Brandywine, Maryland, according to police officials.

The collision happened at approximately 9:10 a.m. at the intersection of northbound Crain Highway and Missouri Avenue. The officer was riding a police motorcycle at the time.

The two occupants of the other vehicle were unharmed. The officer was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. We're keeping the officer in our thoughts and wishing a speedy recovery. 🙏🏻
