Mississippi: 4 people, including a child, were taken to a local hospital after being injured during a crash involving a school bus overturning and a pickup truck in Hinds County.

Sheriff Jones said the driver of the pickup truck was an off-duty transportation detention officer on his way to work.

6/4/25: TxDPS Aircraft Operations Division provided critical aerial support to ground units, including the Texas Rangers Special Operations Group and State Troopers, during a smuggling interdiction in El Paso County.

A pickup truck loaded with illegal immigrants was stopped, and multiple individuals bailed out, attempting to flee on foot. With real-time aerial tracking, the driver was located and arrested by Troopers. A total of seven apprehensions were made, and all were referred to U.S. Border Patrol.

This operation highlights the strong collaboration between Texas DPS and U.S. Border Patrol in the ongoing effort to secure our southern border and stop criminal smuggling.

Alabama: A Mobile Police officer was injured in a crash and transported to the hospital, according to officials.

Authorities said the officer was involved in a chase that ended in a field near Overlook Road.

The officer struck a tree head-on, according to police.

Mobile Police said the officers injuries are minor.

The West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station received the torch from our partners at to kick off the Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) and the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) actively participated in the 39th Annual Law Enforcement Torch Run to benefit the Special Olympics Southern California.  

More than 300 deputies from sheriff’s patrol stations and units across the county, along with members of other law enforcement agencies took part in the relay as part of the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics.
