LAPD News: An investigation is underway following an officer involved shooting in the area of Ardmore Ave 11th St. in Olympic division.

This is preliminary info: Around 10pm Olympic Div ofcrs responded to a “shots fired” radio call at an apartment complex in the 1000 block of Ardmore Ave.

When ofcrs arrived to the area of the call, they encountered the armed suspect and an officer involved shooting occurred. The suspect, described as a male adult, was struck by gunfire and taken into custody.

Fire Dept. Paramedics transported the suspect to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced deceased by hospital staff.

The suspect’s gun, along with spent casings were recovered at scene and will be booked as evidence.

No officers or other community members were injured during this incident.

AJPD Identifies Officer Injured in Line of Duty

We have identified the officer injured in yesterday’s officer-involved shooting as Officer Gabriel Facio, a three-year veteran of the Apache Junction Police Department.

Officer Facio remains in critical condition. We are holding onto hope and standing beside him and his family during this incredibly difficult time.

The subject of the incident has been identified as 37-year-old Roger Nunez.

Tippecanoe County Indiana Sheriff's Office’s K-9 Britt had been very ill for quite some time.

Britt had many doctor visits, a few surgeries, and received lot’s of love and rest over the last several months, but unfortunately Britt wasn’t getting better. Sadly, Britt’s life ended after 10 years on 5-24-2025 with his handler and others that loved him by his side.

Prayers for Britt’s partner, their family and the agency.🙏🏽

Nevada: Metro is entering into a “warrant service officer” agreement, which is limited to the jail, according to the ICE database.

The Metropolitan Police Department is re-entering into a formal 287 (g) agreement with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, a move that would allow officers to conduct immigration duties at the Clark County Detention Center, according to the federal agency.
