Wisconsin: A Columbia County Sheriff's Office deputy suffered non-life-threatening injuries after being involved in a two-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon while responding to a threat against a Poynette police officer, according to the Columbia County Sheriff's Office.
A police officer requested assistance at around 4:50 p.m. when the officer reportedly attempted to stop the uncooperative suspect, who also supposedly threatened to kill the Poynette officer.
Deputies from the Columbia County Sheriff's Office drove to the scene, and one deputy was struck by a vehicle at the Meek and Wibu Roads intersection in Arlington. The sheriff's office squad vehicle rolled over several times. Other deputies continued to assist the Poynette officer in the meantime.
In an update on Facebook, the sheriff's office reported that the deputy had been cleared with some bruises and soft tissue injuries. The driver of the other vehicle sustained more "significant and serious internal injuries" that was previously thought while the driver was at the scene.

BREAKING: I can confirm that the FBI arrested a Chinese national within the United States who allegedly smuggled a dangerous biological pathogen into the country.
The individual, Yunqing Jian, is alleged to have smuggled a dangerous fungus called "Fusarium graminearum," which is an agroterrorism agent, into the U.S. to research at the University of Michigan, where she works.
This fungus can cause a disease called "head blight," a disease of wheat, barley, maize, and rice, causing significant health issues in both humans and livestock. It is responsible for billions of dollars in economic losses worldwide each year.
Evidence also indicates Jian had expressed loyalty to the Chinese Communist Party and had received funding from the Chinese government for similar work on this pathogen in China.

Liu is alleged to have first lied, then admitted, to also smuggling Fusarium graminearum into America—through the Detroit Metropolitan Airport—so that he too could conduct research the University of Michigan.
Both individuals have been charged with conspiracy, smuggling goods into the United States, false statements, and visa fraud.

NEW: A California Highway Patrol cruiser rolled over while pursuing a stolen vehicle on the 91 Freeway Tuesday night.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department began the chase at roughly 7:30 p.m. near Compton before the Dodge Challenger driver entered the highway. Deputies said the car was initially stolen from the Westlake District area.
Once the westbound 91 Freeway, the California Highway Patrol joined the pursuit. Shortly after, the officer's cruiser flipped and came to rest on its roof.
