Please, pray for the Waco Police Department K9 Officer Andor who was shot in the line of duty while attempting to apprehend a suspect.

Andor was transported to a local animal medical emergency facility and is in stable condition. Police were called to a house for a civil disturbance with a gun. The caller said that a male was at the location threatening to shoot her husband. Officers arrived on the scene and began to search for the suspect.

K9 Officer Andor and his handler located the suspect. Andor approached where the suspect was hiding, and the suspect shot Andor in the chest.

"K9 Officer Andor is still in stable condition. He has three entry wounds, two to his neck and one to his shoulder. His collar stopped one round, and the veterinarian providing care to Andor believes that the bulletproof vest he was wearing at the time he was shot stopped another. Andor is in good spirits and still loves to have his chest and armpits rubbed."
