UPDATE: The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office has issued a warrant for the arrest of Daveonte Dixon, who is wanted in connection with this brazen attack on law enforcement.

FOP Lodge 9 President Brian Steel expressed outrage at the circumstances leading to this tragedy.

“I don’t know what is more disturbing,” Steel said, “that Daveonte Dixon tried to kill two police officers, or that Franklin County courts allowed this violent felon to be released back onto our streets last year on so-called community control—despite his convictions for F-1 Aggravated Burglary, F-3 Weapons Under Disability, and F-5 Possession of a Dangerous Ordnance.

What’s worse, Assistant Prosecutors appeared to jointly recommend this irresponsible sentence.”

Prayers for these Officers, but prayers, no disrespect, are not enough. Stop hating on the men and women out there serving and fighting to protect. It’s disgusting and unjustified!

Philips 66 announced in October that it was closing its refineries in Wilmington and Carson, the state’s seventh-largest refining operation. Valero also announced it’s closing a refinery in Northern California. Together, they produce almost 20% of the state's supply.

So our feckless grifter governor California is raising the gas tax exorbitantly, just as construction is beginning in the Palisades and Alta Dena. This will grossly inflate the costs of rebuilding for people already being screwed by his “Fair Plan.”
