Please, pray for the Ohio police officers who were shot & injured in the line of duty tonight. 🙏🏻

Ohio: Two Mifflin Township police officers were shot Wednesday night and law enforcement officials said the “armed and dangerous” suspect remains on the loose. Two Columbus police officers were also injured in a crash while responding to the officer in trouble call, both are in stable condition.

Franklin County Sheriff Dallas Baldwin said the incident started during a traffic stop at approximately 6:45 p.m. in the area of Perdue Avenue and Mecca Road near the northeast side of Columbus.

During the traffic stop, the passenger in the vehicle ran from the scene. As officers gave chase, the passenger turned and shot at them, hitting them. Baldwin said the shooting was “unprovoked.”

Baldwin cautioned anyone in the area of Perdue Avenue and Mecca Road to be careful as the suspect is considered “armed and dangerous” and to report any suspicious activity to law enforcement. He added that a firearm was recovered in the area, but did not know if it was the gun used by the suspect.

Brian Steel, the president of the Fraternal Order of Police, confirmed that the officers were taken to a local hospital for treatment; one officer was in critical condition, the other in a stable condition.

Steel also confirmed via social media that two Columbus police officers were in a stable condition after crashing their cruiser while responding to the officer-in-trouble call.

BREAKING OVERNIGHT: Suspect identified after two Mifflin Township officers shot.

UPDATE: The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office has issued a warrant for the arrest of Daveonte Dixon, who is wanted in connection with this brazen attack on law enforcement.

FOP Lodge 9 President Brian Steel expressed outrage at the circumstances leading to this tragedy.

“I don’t know what is more disturbing,” Steel said, “that Daveonte Dixon tried to kill two police officers, or that Franklin County courts allowed this violent felon to be released back onto our streets last year on so-called community control—despite his convictions for F-1 Aggravated Burglary, F-3 Weapons Under Disability, and F-5 Possession of a Dangerous Ordnance.

What’s worse, Assistant Prosecutors appeared to jointly recommend this irresponsible sentence.”

Prayers for these Officers, but prayers, no disrespect, are not enough. Stop hating on the men and women out there serving and fighting to protect. It’s disgusting and unjustified!

WATCH: DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia Ohio says ICE gov are seeing a 413% increase in assaults against officers.

"The Nashville Mayor is protecting illegal aliens and gang members over his constituents.

At a time when our ICE officers are facing a 413% increase in assaults, Mayor O'Connell is doxxing the names of law enforcement agents removing criminal illegal aliens from his city."

The accusations keep getting worse for this guy.

"This is your FBI. It's not mine": FBI Deputy Director Bongino addresses rebuilding public trust in the bureau

Newsom's California: CA gas prices could surge with more oil refineries closing.

Philips 66 announced in October that it was closing its refineries in Wilmington and Carson, the state’s seventh-largest refining operation. Valero also announced it’s closing a refinery in Northern California. Together, they produce almost 20% of the state's supply.

So our feckless grifter governor California is raising the gas tax exorbitantly, just as construction is beginning in the Palisades and Alta Dena. This will grossly inflate the costs of rebuilding for people already being screwed by his “Fair Plan.”
